Family Updates

Hard to believe that nearly two weeks have passed since our last post. We usually try not to go beyond a week, but it has been pretty busy around here since J&C went back to school. They are both really enjoying first grade so far, like their teachers and have made new friends. We are off to a good start! It's been nice that J&C both have the same homework. Definitely makes it easier on us when we sit down with them each night.

Lauren has had her own transition as well. We have been dropping her off at daycare twice a week now and seems to be doing okay with it so far. She still has her moments when Stacey drops her off, but from what we hear, she does just fine during the day. This gives Lauren a bit of independence and socialization, while Stacey gets a little bit of a break.

Stacey's Stroller Strides business is finally generating interest and she continues to get new ladies in her group each week. Hopefully this will be a good sign. In the meantime, she also has her biggest Baby Signs group - 8 kids! She continues to teach that and has also picked up 2 other part time jobs! I tell ya, this wife of mine just finds ways to keep herself busy, I don't know how she does it all. As one of our friends calls her; she's "Uber-mom". She hasn't gone nuts on me yet, so I guess I shouldn't be too concerned! HA LOL

I am gearing up for the Ragnar Relay race this weekend. As a group of 10 runners, we will run a 193 mile course from Cumberland, MD to the National Mall in DC. Our race officially kicks off on Friday at 8am where we will run through the day, into the night and to Saturday. We each run 3 legs of the race. My portion will be about 18 miles. Wish me luck!

This next month, we will be busy preparing for J&C 7th birthday, which will be followed by our family trip to Disney World. We can't wait!! Then my folks will be coming down for Thanksgiving, which we are equally excited for. Life is good!
