Today we are saying goodbye to the Nash family. We met them over 5 years ago in our old neighborhood and quickly became friends, and turned into great friends. We have had the pleasure of knowing this family and watching our kids grow and play together over the past 5 years. Frequent BBQs, game nights, drinks, laughs, and sleep overs were shared over the years.
They are heading back West (where they are originally from) to be closer to family and a recent job change for Patrick in Portland. We wish them good luck and safe travels across the country; should be quite an adventure! We will miss them dearly and are grateful for the good times we shared. We hope to see them again this summer (my job takes me to Portland once or twice a year).
As we were saying goodbye to them, I found myself thinking about all the people who come and go in our lives; but there are a rare few that stick around. We are truly thankful for the many great friends, who have become like family to us, who have been in our lives over the years. Thanks for sharing our lives with us. You know who you are and we thank you for everything! I am reminded of how precious friendships are and we shouldn't take them for granted.
