Jingles is Back!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family. We enjoyed our holiday spending it with Pops, Gigi and Uncle Scotty. The food was great, the football games were exciting, and all around, it was a nice relaxing holiday. As with tradition, before putting the kids to bed on Thanksgiving night, we read our annual "Elf on the Shelf" book. This year, Jack and Caroline took turns reading each page. To see the excitement in their eyes is so worth it! They were very anxious for the next morning, but they knew they had to wait until we returned home Friday night.

Lauren is only 3 right now, and has a little understanding of who Jingles is, but doesn't comprehend the concept just yet. Perhaps next year....

Stacey and I woke up at 3:30am on Black Friday to brave the crowds and take advantage of those super saving specials! It was fun; the crowds were not that bad, and I think the stores did a pretty good job at crowd management and organization. We hit Target, Kohls and then WalMart. We pretty much got everything on our list; except the 42" flat screen TV we wanted to buy as a family Christmas present. Oh well.... We were back at P&G's house by 6:30. Not too bad....

Later that day, we all headed up to Cousin Kris and Melanie's at MCBQ for another family gathering. Kris' sister, Kimberly from TN came up for the holidays. She is actually a long-lost sister that was recently found through Facebook. P&G, Stacey and Scott enjoyed seeing her after all these years and reconnecting with her.

Finally, we made it home and the kids were greeted by Jingles who was sitting atop the door bell ringer box in the foyer. They were so excited to see him!! We then relaxed and had family movie night (Marmaduke). Saturday and Sunday was spent decorating the house inside and out. Welcome to the Christmas holiday!!!! We love this time of year. This weekend has been fun with the kids getting up each morning looking to see who can find Jingles first! The next few weeks will be fun.....
