As with any year, we had our shares of ups & downs, and joys & sorrows. We said goodbye to some friends, made new ones, and reconnected with ones from years past as we grew closer with existing ones. Some of our close friends experienced personal tragedies and John lost his longtime childhood friend, Jenna. Aside from our move from Fredericksburg to Ladysmith, the main highlight we experienced this year was bringing Lauren into our family. Hey, and John didn't change jobs in '07, like he did in '06 (3 times! HA). We continue to feel blessed everyday and look forward to what 2008 has to offer.
Here are some highlights and milestones we will look forward to in '08:
- Finalizing Lauren's adoption (Spring)
- Outer Banks trip with the Kainus (May)
- Trip to Vermont: Grandpa Broughton's 70th birthday and a long overdue family reunion (July)
- Jack and Caroline start Kindergarten!! (Sept)
- Pops retires (Dec)
