Santa Comes to Ladysmith Village

Here are some pictures from last week's Tree Lighting Ceremony in our neighborhood. The Steimers joined us for some hot cider and snacks at the festivities provided by the HOA! The children got to sit on Santa's lap while we were there. It was nice and small, no large crowds or long waits. The ceremony was a block from our house which was nice. We have been so pleased with the community and the activities they provide for the families here (Pumpkin Festival, Easter Egg Hunt, Summer BBQ, Chili Cook-Off, Wine Festival, you name it) We are looking forward to many years to come here. It's a great place for the kids to grow up... with the playground one block to our left and the new library a block to our right. The community center and pool are slated to open summer 2008 and the YMCA in 2009. AND the new elementary school will be opening next year as Jack and Caroline enter Kindergarten!
