Off to a Busy Start

Well, 2009 sure has been off to a busy start for us in just the first three weeks alone. I have already traveled twice this month for work which is good, because work is definitely keeping me busy with so many utility lighting programs. We had a nice visit with Meghan who came to stay with us for 4 days. We all sat and watched the Inauguration of our very first African-American President! It certainly was a historical day for USA. The kids had Jan. 20 off from school and we all sat and watched the Inauguration on TV. It will be interesting to see how schools in the future will be teaching about the significance of this historical moment. I am optimistic and hopeful of Pres. Obama and his Administration.

Stacey started up Baby Signs again and is teaching a class at the Stafford YMCA, while also busily getting ready to launch her Stroller Strides business. I don't know she manages to tackle on so much. She amazes me everyday! (Uber-Mom)

J&C continue to do very well in school. Their school is doing a schoolwide reading project on "Nim's Island" We have been reading that every night and they will watch the movie when the book is done. Lauren is developing her personality more and more everyday. She's been such an easy baby this whole time and I am now feeling that we may end up having our hands full with this one! HA. She can be a feisty one...

We've been enjoying our new Videophone that my parents gave us (and my 3 siblings) for Christmas. Although it has been a bit frustrating setting it up (it took Stacey 6 hrs!) and getting it to work right, it's been nice 'virtually' seeing my folks more often. We can even call and use the videophone with my brother in CA, and my two sisters, so the kids can see their cousins. It's been neat. Hopefully, we will all be able to get our VPs up and running soon so we can enjoy it even more.

If anyone out there uses MYSPACE.COM..... DON'T!! our computer got a virus as a result of it and thankfully Stacey's brother who is a master at computers was able to get it off and fix it. Phew! Apparently, someone hacked into MYSPACE.COM and put some sort of virus, masking it as a Spyware program. Beware!!!
