Wow.... we are so behind on our blogging.....
Praise God for a wonderfully blessed, healthy 2010. 2010 was truly a great year for the Broughton family. We were able to do quite a bit of traveling: Ocean City, Gatlinburg, and Vermont. We also got in a bit of camping as well. Stacey ran her first 5K! John changed jobs (yet again, I know!) and Stacey returned back to work after 8 years. But let's face it, while at home with the kids, she was STILL working and yet she still managed to do so much. We did say good-bye to Stroller Strides. After much hard effort, the business wasn't there. I guess with the recession, people were not spending any extra money. Stacey did a great job trying to make a go of it, but unfortunately, it was just bad timing. As we all know, as one door closes, another one opens. We do feel truly blessed and grateful for 2010.
We had a wonderful Christmas in Vermont this year with John's parents and sisters. We spent a week in Vermont and enjoyed another white Christmas! Travels up and down I-95 are proving to be longer and longer and have forced us to rethink alternative options of getting to Vermont next time. Not sure we can handle the driving anymore. The kids have always been great travelers and we are thankful for their patience on these long roadtrips. Definitely seems like I-95 gets worse and worse with each passing year.
We rang in 2011 with great friends and had a great time again as we rung in the new year together. We are thankful and blessed to have these great friends in our lives and to share and be a part of each other lives as we grow together. We hope 2011 will be a great one for everyone and that our Lord will continue to watch over us, guide us, and keep us safe this year. Many blessings to each and every one of you in 2011.
