It is so hard to believe that exactly 5 years ago, we were on our way to the hospital. Where on earth has the time gone?! I remember the day just like it was yesterday when we brought them home and how terrified I was wondering what do I do?!. What an amazing time these last 5 years have been. We have seen them grow from mere babies to little people.
As we celebrate the life of Caroline and Jack, I thank God for them everyday! They continue to amaze and inspire me each and every day. They make me see the world a little bit differently, remind me not to take life too seriously, and to just enjoy the moment. Ah, childhood... no worries, nor cares at all. There is a song by Kenny Cheney on the radio right now called "Blink". It talks about how quickly life goes by. Life certainly does not stand still for anyone. Sometimes we all just need to be a kid once in a while to remind us that life is not as serious as we make it out to be, but that it should be fun and enjoyable. Put aside the bills, the work, the cleaning, etc. and play hide and seek, or chase, and run around silly.
It's been so amazing to watch Caroline and Jack grow so differently and develop into their own. You would think that by being twins, they would have some similarities, but they do not. They are they so different in their own special and unique way. I wouldn't change anything at all about them.
Jack and Caroline - Happy Birthday - Enjoy your day today and always know that Mommy and Daddy love you with all our hearts. You have made our lives brighter!! :)
