I read a friend's blog the other day and it focused on how blessed she has felt over her 2 year old daughter and the pending arrival of her baby boy. It was pretty inspiring to read and provided a gentle reminder of the many blessings in our lives. We often forgot those little blessings that God has provided us. We get so caught up in the daily mundane tasks of things that consume our lives and complain that their isn't enough hours in the day or if we could only have one more day in the week? Honestly, would any of that help?! I doubt it, we would probably be even more busy.
Anyway, Stacey and I do feel truly blessed to have been given the opportunity to be parents to our three wonderful, sweet hearted, good natured kids. Jack, Caroline, and Lauren have truly been a gift from God and we feel so blessed that He has entrusted us to care for them. They have reminded us of the many simple things in life, the innocence of childhood, the sense of wonderment in their eyes, the bond of a child and parent, and the unconditional love that continues to grow each and every day. Parenthood is probably one of the toughest jobs we all have; but it is also the most rewarding! Not only do we feel blessed to have these three wonderful beings in our lives, but we are also surrounded by extremely supportive parents (thanks Mom and Dad and Pops and Gigi!), as well as many great friends. Our lives would not be complete without any of you and we thank all of you for the joy you have brought to our lives. Every once in a while we just all need a little nudge to remind us how truly lucky we all are.
