We got back yesterday from OBX and had a wonderful week with The Kainus! The weather was great, except for one rainy day mid-week which was fine b/c we all needed a break from the sun by that time. The beach house was nice. It served it's purpose well. Close to the beach, easy access, hot tub, enough rooms to accomodate 4 adults, 2 kids, and 2 babies. BTW...The babies did great adjusting to the new environment and beach schedule. Jack and Caroline loved being at the beach. Caroline collected sea shells all week for her friends and family members. Jack collected "sharks teeth" all week. They are actually small, jagged sea shells that look like sharks teeth. If you ask him though, they are all teeth, all 70 of them. John collected his sea glass. I collected more freckles and about 5 lbs. It was nice spending some quality time with The Kainus too! We stayed up every night after the kids went to bed and played games. One of our all time new favorite games is now Mad Gab. If you've never played, you need to. It's tons of fun, especially after a few beers. But just being able to hang out with them like we did back in the old neighborhood was the highlight of the week. They are such great friends. They are more like family than anything else. Thanks for the memories, M & K.
