Meet Teddy

Yesterday Stacey received a call from a friend about a puppy she 'saved' at a local Wal-Mart. Apparently, these three young kids were dropped off by their own mother to 'get rid of these puppies' (I know, right?!!!). As she was walking by, a man walked up and grabbed 3 for himself (hopefully to do the right thing and care for them himself or sell them to good homes). So naturally, her friend just couldn't leave this one lone puppy by itself and risk going to a bad home, so she grabbed it.

Knowing that we have been talking about getting a dog for the kids, she called Stacey and asked if we wanted it. Stacey went to see the puppy, took it to PetSmart to have him checked out to make sure he was healthy and okay. Once the vet gave her the okay, she brought it home. The kids were ABSOLUTELY surprised and thrilled to see this new addition to our family. The kids have decided to name him Teddy, but I actually prefer "Wally" (short for Wal-Mart) where he was rescued.

So, now we have a dog in the family. Last night wasn't so bad. We put him in his crate and he only whined for about 20 minutes. He's had a few accidents so far, but for the most part, he has turned out to be a good pet so far. Wish us luck!!
