As stated in our previous post, Jingles the Elf came back to us on Friday. Since his appearance, the kids are having a blast waking up each morning to run downstairs to see if Jingles has returned and where. For those who may not know about this tradition, Jingles was given to us from family friends of Pops & Gigi, The Harkes. They sent us "Elf on the Shelf" (www.elfontheshelf.com) for the kids and it has now become a yearly Christmas tradition. You can go to the web site to read more details. Each night Jack and Caroline say good night to Jingles and will pray for his safe travels to the North Pole to report to Santa and for his safe return.
It's been such a joy to see Caroline & Jack each morning go downstairs with great excitement and anticipation. It's a nice reminder of how kids get so much pleasure over the simple things in life. Several of our friends now have their own Elf and we hope this tradition will continue for many more years! It certainly has created nice memories already.
