The upstairs guest bedroom that I have been using as my office has now officially become Lauren's own bedroom!! Stacey and I have been talking about moving Lauren into her own room for a while and today, we decided to do it. So, while Stacey had her book club meeting here at the house tonight, I went ahead and got started. I moved out all of my office furniture and moved most of Lauren's accessories in. It's a nice yellow room, which will be perfect for her. I think we are going to do a butterfly theme. We will spend the next week or so sprucing up Lauren's new room. Tonight, she did not adapt too well to her new surroundings. It took about half an hour to settle her down. I imagine it will take a few nights for her to get used to it.
Our good friends, the Nash family will be leaving next weekend for their second annual cross country trip. Jack & Caroline will be taking care of the Nash hamster ("Nibbles") for the summer. Let's hope our two cats don't turn Nibbles into Kibbles!! Ha, couldn't resist.... Seriously though, this little exercise will be a good responsibility test for J&C because now they have already asked for one of their own! We have only had this pet for 3 hours mind you. LOL.
We had a great weekend. I got together with the Nash family and we all went on a little hike to a local hiking spot and had a great time. We spent a little over an hour hiking through the forest and playing in the river skipping rocks, running, climbing, and having a grand time. They really enjoyed spending the day together yesterday. Afterwards, we treated the kids to Carl's (the best milkshakes in town!). Stacey had a Baby Signs workshop, so she couldn't join us. Today we spent the good part of the afternoon at the pool. It was great watching J&C play with the neighborhood kids. It brought back so many memories for me to when I was a kid playing with neighbors and school friends. It's neat watching them experience all these things as they grow up. We can't believe Kindergarten is coming to a close and they will be in First grade. Wow....
Hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoy your week. God Bless!!!!

yay for the bedroom! It's so fun to do the children's rooms but more fun to get your own room back! :0)
