Today was a day filled with party after party. We first started off our day going to a picnic for Jack's football camp. I am really proud and amazed at how well Jack excelled at camp this week. It was great to watch him enjoy and learn the basics of football. Each of the boys received medals and he wore it proud. Afterwards, we headed up to our pool for a birthday party for J&C's friend. It was the perfect day to spend the afternoon at the pool. After the pool, we hopped in the van to head up to Fredericksburg to attend the annual twins club summer picnic. It was a lot of fun (as always) getting together with all the folks in the club; such a great group of people who have also become extremely close friends over the years.
Jack spent the WHOLE time jumping off the diving board. We spent a little time teaching and learning how to dive, but couldn't master it yet. Caroline attempted to jump off the diving board several times, but just couldn't get the nerve to do it. You could see how badly she wanted to do it too. She was a great cheerleader watching others do it though. Lauren enjoyed playing in the pool and is really getting comfortable with the water.
Of course with all of these parties comes the junk food - hot dogs, chips, pizza, soda, desserts, you name it. Hey, we are all allowed to splurge and cheat once in a while. It was definitely a fun day for sure!
