Happy July 4th!

We arrrived in Vermont on Wednesday morning around 4am, after a long drive from VA. But we made it! We have really enjoyed the last few days so far and the kids are having a great time with all of the cousins. For the 4th, we went to my cousin's camp out on Lake Dunmore (our local 'beach'!). The camp has a lot of significance for the whole family. My cousin Lisa bought the camp my grandparents sold in 1970, the very camp my father spent many summers. Yesterday's celebration was also a long overdue family reunion and we all had a chance to see many cousins we had not seen in YEARS. We were all amazed at all of the kids and the next generation of family. It was wonderful. My father gave a very heartfelt and emotional speech that talked about his years at the camp, how proud he was of Lisa for bringing the camp back 'into the family' and how grandma and granpa are smiling from the heavens. I think many of us truly felt their spirits yesterday and were certainly with us. It was just great! Truly a memorable summer trip so far.

We hope everyone had a safe and wonderful 4th! See you when we return.

Glad to hear you're having a wonderful time. We miss you guys. The kids keep asking for you all. Madison has to keep reminding the other two that you "went to Vermont and that it took 13 hours..." and she goes on and on. :) Looking forward to your return home. Our love to John's folks.
Love you all,
Diana
