Nicky left this morning to finish the last two legs of her "holiday."
She's off to Washington state for a few days, then to Hawaii and finally back home to Australia. We had an absolutely wonderful visit. The kids really enjoyed spending time with her! They learned some fun Aussie sayings during her stay too.
(Next time they ask for the "sauce" be sure to pass them the ketchup.) We took her to Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens one day, then Kings Dominion the next.
She was in VA for about 10 days, but the time went way to quickly. She got to attend her
20-year high school reunion while in town and had a blast seeing old friends again. We went out for dinner her last night here with some of the girls from high school and we had a few laughs looking through the old yearbooks! My 20th is next year-yikes!
We are hoping (crossed fingers) to fly "down under" in 2008 for Nicky's 40th and to celebrate Pop's official retirement in December. What a trip that would be!!!
